Recently, I came across a social media post by pastor Jack Hibbs, president of Life Network. As I read his brief comments, the Lord highlighted this phrase the pastor had used to describe President Trump “the most pro-life president in American history”, and I remembered hearing this same phrase echoed by several other Christian leaders and pro-life advocacy groups.
What I sensed was this: that this phrase is being used to intentionally redirect the focus off Trumps sudden shift on abortion by reminding us about his past pro-life record; almost as if saying that we should overlook his position of compromise, which is, whether we like it or not, is a pro abortion stance. It’s as if his past pro-life achievements should be a good enough reason to support his current run for the presidency, which in turn, means agreeing with a nationwide consensus.
While to his credit, Trump did appoint more pro-life justices and judges than other former presidents, it’s where he stands now that matters. What we are seeing is the Trump campaign attempting to draw a distinction between where he and Biden stand on abortion. By calling Biden’s position radical, they make Trump’s position of “compromise” and “exceptions” appear reasonable.
And I heard, “the lesser of two evils”, which is something the Lord had said to me before about this line of reasoning. He showed me that not only within the pro-life community is this idea being used to justify supporting one presidential candidate over the other, but I saw that across the Church, this is the case as well; where a nationwide consensus has become a palatable alternative to Biden’s platform of: abortion without limitations.
I saw that in the hearts of a good number of believers there has been this settling in on compromise because they have accepted the lie that this conciliatory path must be taken in order to see the recovery of our nation, and so without realizing it, have put their trust in man instead of God, thinking it is the man himself that will save America, that he is our best hope.
Then the Lord reminded me of this word He gave me a few months ago:
When deciding which presidential candidate they shall support, “the lesser of two evils” is the rationale already being employed by quite a few who claim to ardently stand for the rights of the pre-born. However, because these individuals are relying upon a form of faulty logic to determine their course of action, in so doing, they are allowing the “powers that be” to dictate the available options from which they are to choose, thus forcing their vote to align with the pro-abortion agenda, as those contenders left in the race have made clear their intentions to see abortion is once again the law of this land.
Ah, but is there not another option for those who truly believe in the right to life, one that has, thus far, been overlooked, where instead of settling for the choices offered, they reject out of hand any candidate that promotes abortion regardless of his or her reasons for doing so (i.e. “to win elections”)?
Oh how debased is this form of logic, as it is willing to allow the murder of an untold number of innocent pre-born lives in order to achieve political victory. And while this agenda may be delivered in a tone that sounds patriotic and expresses love of country, it is, nonetheless, evil. For anyone who places a higher value on some lives over others simply because of physiological development, is promoting the enemy’s agenda, as every single human life holds the same intrinsic value, even those that are still found developing in the womb.
Yet how quickly have some who strongly opposed the practice of abortion, shifted their stance, and are now willing to accept concessions on abortion limits if it means the candidate they’ve deemed the “lesser evil” is voted into office. However, these have deceived themselves in their thinking, believing they are still staunchly pro-life.
But I say, “Anyone who claims to be pro-life and also professes faith in Me, should not be found offering their support for any candidate now in the running, as long as they maintain a pro-abortion stance, as this single issue alone is the real focus of this present presidential race (though other topics of national interest might be pushed to the forefront of the debate)”.
So while some Americans might consider the economy the issue of the day, and still others might be focused on immigration, or with others it might be this nation’s foreign policies, amongst My own it is the fight to save the pre-born that must be given preeminence, as this is the actual, real battle, though its importance has been somewhat diminished out on the campaign trail.
And although it should be obvious to the Church that this war over life is where their feet should be planted, yet when it comes to this current presidential race, some of My children have prioritized their own agenda over My own, and thereby have they, too, already yielded to compromise and accepted the idea of finding a nationwide consensus on abortion limits, if this is what it takes to see their preferred candidate elected as president.
Yet to My own, I say, “ Do not conform! Nor should you abide by that which man says must be done in order to win this current presidential election. For to see what I have promised accomplished does not require the sacrifice of pre-born human lives.
Can you not see it is the enemy’s hand that is attempting to lead you astray?
Therefore, do not agree with anyone who is promoting concessions on abortion limits, even if their position seems to you less offensive. For the murdering of the pre-born should not be measured using the standard of “less or more” evil, as the practice of infanticide is rooted in darkness, and as such, should be counted as wicked even when done at the earliest moments of pregnancy.
Then should it be, that the elect only look to My criteria when deciding to whom their vote shall be cast in any election. For though some of My own do not appear to think it true that I have an opinion on this and every matter that happens under the sun, which includes, yet is not limited to, the arena of politics, I still do! As such, it should rightly be understood by My children that even the casting of their vote is to be left up to My discretion, for only I am able to rightly judge a person’s heart. Therefore, let none of My own think they know which is the correct course of action to take without first seeking Me for direction, as they might be surprised by My response.
Then to the elect, I say, “Don’t rush in to offer your support, but withhold your backing from any candidate who is pledging to instate national abortion limits, or has clearly stated there must be exceptions when it comes to abortion laws. Refuse to go along with this plan, as surely will acquiescence to this evil cost America dearly.”
Hold your ground then, beloved, and do not allow the fear of your preferred candidate losing this election, pressure you towards taking action, for the line against abortion must be firmly upheld. Take this directive seriously, for I tell you now that no compromise and no exceptions must be the ground upon which each of you stand. For unless the Church rises to this occasion, and refuses to accept that supposed conciliatory approach to abortion, it shall be the future generations of this nation who pay the price.
