The Blame Game

I heard: The “blame game”.

Then the Lord said:

As such is the tactic of the enemy. For surely he points the finger of blame towards many of My daughters: those of My own who are post-abortive. So though these daughters are guilty of committing the heinous act of abortion, still was it into his trap that they fell, for he enticed them to partner with his lies by making the option of abortion seem like a good idea at the time. Yet because he is not one to be trusted, the enemy did not disclose that regret was included in that choice to abort their pre-born child. And so, like a dark shadow, regret has eclipsed their hearts.

And so, again and again, he points the finger of blame at these daughters, whispering accusation after accusation into their ears, for to keep alive the memory of their abortion is what he is after, lest they soon forget that iniquitous act they did commit. So then, try as they might, these daughters are unable to leave their past behind them, as the recollection of that moment still haunts them to this day, for surely does the enemy continue to heap words of condemnation upon their heads.

So while these daughters have truly been justified in Christ, the enemy has convinced them that the sufficiency of His sacrifice was not enough to cover all of their sin and, as such, do they believe that for ending the life of their unborn child are they not forgiven, and so have accepted that suffering is their lot. Thus in a troubled state do these daughters remain, as they are certain that to be fully reconciled to Me through My Son is not theirs to obtain, for in their own eyes they are still marred by sin, though before Me blameless do they stand.

Yet despite the fact that I have declared these daughters are redeemed, still they are not convinced of that reality. For, to them, it is much easier to believe the enemy’s lies rather than the truth. So then, instead of rising up out of the pit in which they sit, these daughters have chosen to wallow in it instead. Sadly, immersed in the woes of self-pity can they be found, for surely they regard themselves as victims of their own folly, and thus do the hearts of these daughters dwell in regret.

Then do these daughters not walk in the freedom they have been given in Christ, and so remain burdened by the past. Therefore, much like prisoners who refuse to be released are they, for though a full pardon was granted to them upon passing through salvation’s door, still are they bound to the thoughts of ‘what should have been’, had they not made the choice to have an abortion. Indeed are these daughters resistant to change, for so accustomed to their bondage have they become, that just even the thought of living without those chains fills them with dread.

And so, similar to martyrs, do they regard themselves; almost as if the pain from regret these daughters are carrying is a cross that I have asked them to bear: as a form of penance for having had an abortion, or maybe even a few. However, no such directive was issued by Me, for every sin from their past, including the choice to end the lives of their unborn children, have I forgiven. For My Son already bore that sin and shame upon his shoulders and, therefore, no further penance is due.

So then, even these daughters have I called “more than conquerors”! For through My Son have they overcome all of the sin and shame associated with their choice of abortion and, as such, is the enemy’s tactic of blame powerless against them. Thus should they no longer entertain any of his rhetoric, nor listen to a single one of his accusations, for there now is no longer condemnation for those who are in Christ.

Thus do I say to these daughters, “It’s time to climb out of the pit of self-pity and stop living under the shadow of regret! For you have indeed been forgiven. Therefore, stop thinking that you have not. So do I tell you now that even the evil you did commit by having an abortion (or maybe even a few) shall be counted against you no more! For though your sins were as scarlet, by virtue of My Son’s sacrifice, are they now white as snow, as indeed have you been fully cleansed in His blood.”

The Indirect Approach

Before ground troops are sent in, specific enemy targets must first be neutralized, for then any efforts made in the battle to abolish abortion will be more effective, as the enemy’s works in that arena will then have been rendered useless. Therefore, none of My troops should charge ahead into battle, for in the war over abortion, now is not the time for physical confrontation; thus is spiritual combat the order of the day.   Yet in backward fashion is the fight over life now being fought, for strategies have

Selfishness Is The Root

Selfishness is the root, plain and simple, even though a myriad of excuses were offered as to why abortion was chosen. Yet when closely examined, each of those reasons given can be traced back to “self”. For surely did she put her own needs, wants, and desires before those of her unborn child. Thus, in selfishness did she act, as it was her own life that she had in view, and none other, when she made the choice to terminate her pregnancy.    So while she was thoroughly convinced that,

Introduction

Instead of beginning with the oldest scriptural references to ascertain the correct stance a “Christian” should take on the global issue and practice of abortion, it seems much more prudent to work backwards toward the earliest foundations of Christianity.    Contrary to what most would assume, abortion in the Roman Empire, was a common practice, prior to and during the 1st century, even through to the 4th and 5th, especially among the societal elite. Also, contrary to popular belief, the early followers of Jesus had much to say about the

Misapplied Trust

I heard the phrase, “misapplied trust”.   Then the Lord said this:   Many of my children, those who call themselves Americans, still wrongly believe that the battle for the future of their nation shall be won at the ballot box, and so have set their sights upon the contenders in that arena instead of the actual field of battle, where the real fight for this nation is being waged.   Yet do these children still assume that simply because they have the right to vote that my permission for
